This paper looked into the marketing of information services within the social media framework
of communication. The paper identified social media tools that could enable libraries and
information services market their products online. The research revealed that social media is
helpful in accessing information needs of online users and helps libraries to get closer to the
users. It is also showed that social media is an indispensible tool for marketing library services
especially, among new generation users. By using social media libraries can promote their
services, resources and events.
