This paper critically evaluates the UK’s post liberalisation-driven director’s disqualification regime and the Nigerian director’s disqualification variant. It found that the fundamental challenge of the UK regime is that it focuses on the attainment of higher disqualification figures as opposed to achieving its set out aims while that of its Nigerian counterpart rests on a general lack of understanding and laxity towards the improvement of the regime.
