Abstract

The study was informed by the dissatisfactionwith the use of Electronic banking in Nigeriacoupled with the rising doubts on its effectiveness in achieving economic and developmental goals. The study examined the implementation of cashless banking and the challenges posed to the nigerian economy through a descriptive survey and administration of questionnaire. T-test and percentages were used in the analysis.Findings indicated that banks need to improve on ATM services in terms of cash overhauling  at the ATM-terminals (T-test 2.5 at 0.05 level of significance) Also a shift towards a cashless nigeria is beneficial thogh with high level of concerns.
