Maitanmi Julius Olatade is an enthusiastic and highly dedicated Registered Nurse and Researcher who is deeply passionate about nursing, particularly providing sound education and also rendering safe and high quality compassionate care that improves patients’ experiences and outcomes.
He was born over three decades ago in Saminaka, Kaduna State, Nigeria. He has over 12 years’ experience in nursing education and practice. He has published over 20 articles in local and international peer-reviewed journals.
Maitanmi Julius is a Nursing scholar with first and second degrees in Nursing from Babcock University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from University of Ado-Ekiti (EKSU) with a Distinction. He is registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCM) as a Nurse (RN), Midwife (RM), Public Health Nurse (RPHN) and Public Health Nurse Educator (RPHNE).
His research interest is community/Public Health nursing with emphasis in chronic illness, vulnerable groups, community midwifery and nursing education. He started his nursing career at the Dakinkowa Comprehensive Health Centre, Bukuru, Jos, Plateau State as a Corp Member (2009-2010) and later gained employment with the Ekiti State Government (2010) and worked in the Accident and Emergency unit of the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital (EKSUTH) for over three years and later worked with the EKSUTH School of Nursing for about 4years before his appointment in Babcock University in 2018 where he is currently serving as a Lecturer/Researcher at the Community/Public Health Department, School of Nursing, Babcock University, Ilishan-Remo, Ogun State.
