Family background- Dr Chikwendu Amaike hails from Osusu Amairi autonomous community in Isiala-Ngwa North Local Government Area of Abia State, Eastern Nigeria. He was born on March 20, 1972 at the Okpuala-Ngwa General Hospital in Isiala-Ngwa-North Local Government Area to Late Elder George Esiene Amaike and Late Felicia Ukachi Amaike. Chikwendu Amaike is the fourth of six children from this marriage.
Educational Background-
1977-1983- Primary Education in the following Schools- Osusu Community School, Abia State, Urhiapele Primary School, Sapele, Delta State, Eyabugbe Primary School, Warri, Delta State and Agbado Model Primary School, Benin City, Edo state.
1983-1988- High School at Adventist High School, Ihie (now Ihie High School) in Abia State
1993- 2000- Medical School at University of Jos, Jos Nigeria
2000. Medical Internship (Housemanship) at Jos University Teaching Hospital, Jos, Nigeria.
2002- National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) at Seventh-day Adventist Hospital, Jengre.
2009- MWACP (Member of the West African Postgraduate College in the Faculty of Community Medicine)
2012- FMCPH (Fellow of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria in the Faculty of Public Health and Community Medicine).
2021. MSc (Masters in Public Health). University of Jos, Jos Nigeria.
Family Life. Chikwendu Amaike is married to Blessing Adaku Amaike (nee Nwankpa) in 2002. The marriage is blessed with a set of twins, Flavour and Fortune born in 2006 in Jos.
Chikwendu Amaike worked at the Seventh-day Adventist Hospital Jengre, Plateau State from 2001 to 2021 and served as the Medical Director/CEO for the Hospital from 2003-2007 and 2013-2021. He also served as the Health Ministries Director for Northeast Nigeria Conference of SDA Church 2009-2011 and Health Ministries Director, Northern Nigeria Union Conference of SDA Church from 2013-2018 and 2018-2021.
Hobbies include reading and travelling.
Chikwendu Amaike is currently a Lecturer in the department of Community Medicine, Benjamin Carson Senior College of Health and Medical Sciences, Babcock University and a Honorary Consultant Public and Community Health Physician, Babcock University Teaching Hospital, Nigeria,
