DR. ADESINA Opeyemi Olufeyisola is a dynamic and passionate educator/lecture at Babcock University, Ogun state, Nigeria. She is an outstanding haematologist and blood transfusion scientist of more than 20 years laboratory experience. Dr Opeyemi is willing to learn at all available opportunity.
Dr. Adesina obtained her Ph.D. in Haematology/blood transfusion science from University of Benin, Benin City, Nigeria. She holds a post graduate diploma in Education as well as diploma degree in Microbiology. She also holds a certificate from University of Washington, Department of Global Health E-learning in Leadership and Management in Health, USA (LIMH). She is a certified International technologist in Haematology H (ASCPI)CM, with American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of certification.
Dr. Adesina has attended, and presented numerous scientific papers at both local and international conferences. She has several cutting-edge publications in reputable national and international journals. She is an educator, mental health advocator, public speaker and a certified Management Consultant, and has a strong passion for guidance and counselling. Her research interest includes anaemia cause and effect, blood physiology/experimental Haemopoiesis. She is skilled in molecular diagnosis, Bone marrow transplantation, HLA typing, Stem cell Apheresis, flow cytometry, coagulometry, transfusion medicine with global blood safety (Haemovigilance),
Dr. Adesina is a Fellow of Institute of Management Consultants (Certified Management Consultants), a Fellow of the aspiring scholar network, a fellow of the West Africa postgraduate college of Medical Laboratory Science, a fellow of the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria and a member of the association of medical laboratory scientists of Nigeria. She is a member of Haematology and blood transfusion scientists of Nigeria, International society for laboratory haematology, Africa Society for blood transfusion, ECOWAS Society for blood transfusion, America Society for clinical pathology and international Red Cross Organization. She is a guest of the European haematology Association, International society of blood transfusion haemovigilance working party, TTID, SRAP Subgroup and America society of haematologists. She is a mentor to several young academics and early career professionals. Dr Adesina is a proud member of rotary international district 9110 chapter, serving as chair for polio eradication committee of her club and Jaipur foot committee member and a platinum member of international Red Cross society Lagos chapter
