About Prof. Grace 'toyin Tayo

Biography

Grace Oluwatoyin Tayo is a Professor of Animal Nutrition, who holds a B. Agric., M.Sc. and Ph.D in Animal Science. She is a Registered Animal Scientist with the Nigerian Institute of Animal Science, a life member of Nigerian Society of Animal Production and a member of Poultry Science Association, Champaign. She has over two decades research experience in Animal Nutrition and Biochemistry with interest in livestock mineral nutrition, alternative livestock feeds, organic livestock production as well livestock and environment Interaction. Professor Grace Tayo is familiar with different scientific techniques in livestock production and feeds nutrient evaluation. She has published over 50 research articles in peer-review journals. she has experience in research management and research ethics supporting students, members of  faculty and staff in pre- and post-award grant management and research publications. 

She has served as Head, Department of Agriculture, and Dean, School of Science & Technology at Babcock University, Nigeria. She is a postdoctoral fellow of the World Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Sciences, (TWAS/CAS) Italy, and a mentor of African Women in Agricultural Research and Development (AWARD) Nairobi, Kenya and member of the Nigerian Women in Agricultural Research and Development (NiWARD). She is currently the Director, Research, Innovation and International Cooperation, Babcock University where she coordinates the research affairs of the institution.
