Abstract

Education is very essential for man, so that he can achieve his full potentials. But the formal education, which is elitist, discriminatory and installment, cannot on its own provide all the education an individual needs for self-fulfillment. Adult education in its complementary and supplementary roles in education affords citizens of a country opportunity for self-attainment and fulfillment. It is commonly understood that students, particularly adult, learn differently. The learning styles, attitudes and approaches of high school students differ from, those of adult learners. Therefore, instructors must be aware of these differences with selecting courseactivities and planning class sessions to better attend to the needs of the adult learners to enable the adult citizen achieve self-fulfillment and fullness during the twenty first century
