Software Ecosystem (SECO) is a new and rapidly evolving trend in the field of software engineering. The main challenge faced
by software companies is inability to present their software products in non-technical way to people with limited knowledge of
software architecture. Tools available such as unified process for modelling software products are too technical for clients with
limited knowledge of software architecture to understand. Therefore, the focus of this study was designed for filling part of the
gaps in SECO. The study was based on design research methods and case study. This resulted to a generic models; PCD
WordTech and SSN WordTech for modelling software product using Product Context Diagram (PCD) and Software Supply
Networks (SSN). User survey of the developed models recorded average rating of 4.08 which proved that the models were good.
Also user’s survey confirmed that PCD WordTech and SSN WordTech models can be used to describe software products in nontechnical
way to the satisfaction of stakeholders with limited knowledge of software architecture.
