Communication is an essential part of life which forms the basis for all manners of interaction. The content of any communication is conceived using a particular code (language).Language is a set of symbols arranged together, accepted by a group of people and through which the people socialize and interrelate. The complexity in different languages offers a wide range of interpretation based on the knowledge of individuals that use them translation of human languages also referred to as Natural Language Processing (NLP) has assumed a new scientific dimension vis-a-vis the infusion of Information and Communication Technology to the global society. This paper, attempt to model the morphological rules of Yoruba language by employing computational method of finite state automata which consequently led to the development of language analyzer of words from a corpus base of Yoruba prefixes, infixes, verbs and nouns. A quantitative method was hitherto utilized to test the accuracy of the approach using percentage optimal test.
