Abstract

The paper examines the relevance of documented information and records management in the Bible. As the Word of God the Bible is a very vital book, hence it forms the basis for learning in every discipline. Studies reveal that records keeping and records management practices in the Bible are very much in line with what the library and information science is doing in the library profession. Since the books in the Bible are documented information for the benefit of mankind and the society they play a similar role to the documented information in the library and information centers. Therefore, the Bible may be used for critical decision-making and problem solving, especially where issues that have to do with human destiny is concerned.
