Abstract
The provision of quality education to the Nigerian populace has been a much talked about issue in recent years. The concern for quality education has been at the core of the motivating forces for reforms to have sustainable development. Quality is inherent in the capacity to satisfy stated or implied needs. Since quality education is imperative to any responsible society, this paper discuss the indices such as teaching, personnel training and development, funding, curriculum plaining ad implementation, provision of an enabling environment for teaching and learning; and community involvement in education. These indices enhance quality education in Nigeria.
