Abstract
The relationship between economic sectors are have been severally investigated in the development economics literature using the material input-output model. The transmitted spillover and externalities effects throughout the economy from these linkages have been scarcely reviewed. This study in order to link this gap attempts to investigate the connectivity between the sectors by estimating a structural mini country macroeconometric model for Nigeria. The study obtained time series data for a period of 40 years (1970-2010) mainly from the Central Bank of Nigeria and deployed the Simultaneous equation and the Three-stage least squares technique. Multi-directional and intricate relationship was found between the sectors. Also, significant and positive relatedness were also recorded at 1 % level, between the investments and outputs of each of the sectors. However, the relationship between the services and manufacturing sectors were both insignificant and negative. Between the oil output and the manufacturing sectors, the relationship was insignificant but positive. The enforcement of the local content law is recommended for implementation
