Abstract
Marek's disease (MD) is a highly contagious viral neoplastion infection of chickens. Game fowls and rarely turkeys, characterized by visceral tumors, and high morbidity and mortality rate of affected flocks. All age group of chickens are are susceptible to Gallid herpesvirus 2 (Ga Hv-2) the aetiology of MD. but mortalities are heaviest in young birds betwaeen 3 to 20 weeks of age. The case report of a flock of chickens (N= 1917) that were revaccinated with Turkey Herpes virus (HVT serotype FC126) during an outbreak of MD. as part of an unconventional post - outbreak containment plan were hereby reported. Chi square lest results of mortalities among group within the flocks revealed: no signficant difference within the scik between vaccinated and unvaccinated chickens (X2 (1)% died0 and unvaccineted chickens (X2(1) = 274 16. p< 0>
