Abstract
This study investigated the knowledge of university teachers on learning disabilities (LD). The sample of this study consist of seventy-five (75) university teachers which were stratified according to the school/faculty that they belong to. A self-structured questionnaire was administered. To test the two research hypothesis formulated for the study. T-test and ANOVA were used. The result of T-test revealed a significant different in the level of knowledge of university teachers with below 5years and above 5years experiences. Also in the ANOVA result, significant differences occurred in the level of knowledge according to the type of degree of the university teachers, which implies that the type of degree a lecturer has determines the level of knowledge on learning disabilities. Based on the findings of the study, recommendations were made on how teachers can deal with LD students.
