Abstract
This paper explores for the Nigerian Nation, the ecological implications of the spirit of harlotry/corruption of Samaria's government as in 5:4, which was responsible for the anarchy and lawlessness in the northern kingdom of Israel and which further opened the floodgates of moral degeneration with negative effects on nature. It employs Ukpong's Inculturation Hermeneutics as the interpretative framework. However, 87.8% of the responses show the presence of "the spirit of corruption" Nigeria, while 89.4% hold that "the spirit of corruption" has some ecological effect. Nevertheless, 85.4% posit that if "the spirit of corruption" persists in Nigeria, extinction especially in the human ecological zone is inevitable.
