Abstract
Background: Gastric duplication cysts are considered rare among duplications of the gastrointestinal tract. They have varied presentations necessitating a high index of suspicion. Case Report: We report the case of a 6 month old Nigerian female with features suggestive of gastric outlet obstruction. Clinical examination and preoperative imaging raised the suspicion of a duplication cyst. A gastric duplication was found intraoperatively and was completely excised. Diagnosis was confirmed on histopathology .Conclusion : Radiologic imaging coupled with a high index of suspicion play a role in the diagnosis of duplication cysts. Total excision is the preferred treatment modality.
