Background: Gastric duplication cysts are considered rare among duplications of the gastrointestinal tract. They have varied presentations necessitating a high index of suspicion.
Case Report: We report the case of a six month old Nigerian female with features suggestive of gastric outlet obstruction. Clinical examination and pre-operative imaging raised the suspicion of a duplication cyst. A gastric duplication was found intra-operatively and was completely excised. Diagnosis was confirmed on histopathology.
Conclusion: Radiologic imaging coupled with a high index of suspicion play a role in the diagnosis of duplication cysts. Total excision is the preferred treatment modality.
