Abstract
The objective of the paper is to determine the relationship between promotional strategy and sales' performance of carbonated non-alcoholic beverages in Lagos State, Nigeria.
The methodology adopted in this research includes the survey research method in which the primary source of data was employed. The research instrument was the questionnaire administered on the samples from the selected companies. The statistical tool employed was the Pearson correlation analysis to determine the correlation between the two variables.
The study showed that in NBC and 7UP, there is significant positive association between promotion strategy and sales performance sub scales: market share, sales volume and profitability. The study concluded that promotional strategy significantly correlates to sales performance.
