The objective of the paper is to determine the effect of promotional strategy components on sales’ performance in some selected soft drinks’ companies. The methodology adopted in this research includes the survey research method in which the primary source of data was employed. The research instrument was the questionnaire administered on the samples from the selected companies. The statistical tool employed was the univariate analysis of variance (ANOVA) to determine the statistical significance and the extent to which promotional strategy components bring about variation in sales performance. The study showed that advertising, publicity and sales promotion affected market share and profitability at different rates while personal selling affected sales’ revenue. The study concluded that promotional strategy components caused variations in market share, profitability and sales’ revenue.
