Abstract

The Second coming of Jesus Christ is the victorious climax of the gospel and of time as we know it. It is the supreme longing and hope of all ages, the culmination of all Christian hope and faith, the fulfillment of Bible promises, and the end of the great controversy between God and Satan. It is one of the most widespread, solemn, and glorious teachings in the Bible. It will mark the end of the world and the final consummation of human history. What does the second coming really entail? What is it not? Is it secret? What is its purpose and importance? In what manner will it occur? What are the global and personal warning signs of its imminence? Can we correctly predict the actual date? What is the proper attitude towards its happening? How do we live in the blessed hope of the second coming? This article explains these issues and provides biblical answers to these nagging questions.
