Abstract
The need for the inclusion of women in the economic development of Nigeria has encouraged the government in developing programmes that can trigger women development. Nevertheless, most researchers have reported that women performance was still low especially in the areas of entrepreneurship. In light of this, the study examined the effect of entrepreneurial self-efficacy on gender stereotype of female undergraduate students vis-a vis their entrepreneurial attitude. The study employed a descriptive survey research design using the ex-post facto type. The population comprised female undergraduate students attending Babcock University ( a Private University) in Ogun State, Nigeria. The results showed that the independent variables (gender stereotype and entrepreneurial self-efficacy) contributed jointly to the entrepreneurial attitude of the female undergraduate’s while entrepreneurial self-efficacy had a relative contribution to the dependent variable(entrepreneurial attitude). In view of these findings, it is important to give adequate attention to entrepreneurial self-efficacy as found in the study especially when planning and implementing entrepreneurial curriculum for higher education.
