Also, job performance measurement of the cataloguer indicated high performance ranging from work productivity, quality of work, ability to bring out initiative, among others. The result however showed that incomplete bibliographic records, moving into digitized collection, lack of facilities to work with etc. where the major challenges Nigerian cataloguer face in performing their cataloguing work. The study therefore recommend that library management should ensure that those motivational factors are always put in place in the library. Those challenging factors to cataloguers’ job should also be taken care of. Necessary modern technologies should be made available as well as training to enable them move into the digitized world with ease. Lastly, their working conditions should be improved.
