Abstract

The study explored the electronic information behaviour of Babcock University faculty members. Survey research design was used for the study. The population comprised 140 faculty members in Babcock University. Structured questionnaire was employed for data collection. Data collected were analyzed using frequency count, percentage, mean and standard deviation. The study established among others that faculty members use electronic information resources in the library. They were also satisfied with most of the electronic information resources available in the library, though faced difficulties of power fluctuation, inadequate orientation/training, and lack of awareness of electronic resources in the library. Based on the findings, the study thus recommends that the library administration should provide modern technologies, create adequate awareness of the electronic information resources acquired in the library; also, provision of orientation/training of faculty member. This would enable them make effective use of these electronic resources.
