Abstract
Africa, as a continent, has been subjected, severally and by various scholars, to the rigor of research and scholarly investigation into areas such as politics, conflict, administration, religion, class, ethnicity and even relationship between these and other issues. These efforts have largely been undertaken as a result of the unique role of Africa in the global economy and arguably as a result of the very nature of Africa’s creation and historical experience. Although these characteristics are not entirely unique to the African continent, they cannot be totally excused from interrogations into the current state of the African society.
