Abstract
This book entitled "In the Spirit of David" has been written in honor of a rare Nigerian, Engr (Chief) Julius Olatunji Osibamowo. The biography serves to x-ray the life and time of this man who can be regarded as a "rolling stone that gathers no moss." At eighty, the life of this man is still so remarkable that the only way to celebrate this is to commit it to writing.
The author, Mrs. Alice Bello has succeeded in making the history of Engr. Osibamowo the one that all and sundry could benefit from. Hence, this book is undoubtedly a source of good inspiration to all young minds; from a religious angle, the Chief has been likened to the Biblical David, a man after God's heart. Though a genius naturally, his life exhibits excellence through hard work, discipline and integrity and this made him a pacesetter in his youthful years.
In addition, Engr. Osibamowo's service to both his remote and immediate environments further establishes him as a man with a big heart - he is not driven by monetary gain to establish any of his numerous companies, but by a complete sense of patriotism and good nature. In effect, this book on the one hand is a celebration of a fulfilled life of Engr. (Chief) J.O. Osibamowo and on the other, a useful tool to anyone who is motivated by good deeds.
I feel privileged to write the preface to this piece of work, which will forever remain inspiring to every man of purpose under the sun regardless of race, generation, background, class, religion or gender.
