Abstract

The Nigerian educational system continues to attract attention of stakeholders because it needs transformation due to its declining state. The library as an established institution within the educational framework can play a vital role in the transformation being envisaged in the educational sector. The value and quality use of library system can bring to the educational development are enormous and must be harnessed if the desired transformation is to be achieved. This paper focuses on the role of library in the transformation of educational system in Nigeria. The important roles of librarians and recommendations on how to bring the library to the front door of educational transformation were enumerated
