Abstract
Internally displaced persons are vulnerable people in need of information to meet their challenges. The quest for information is to meet the gap in respect to their psychological needs, situation in their home country as well as information about their displaced friends and relations. Therefore, environmental factors such as political, economic and technological factors influenced the pattern of behavior exhibited by the refugees. The study adopted a descriptive survey research design. Findings revealed that health information was the most needed, while information about investment was least needed. Browsing the internet was the major channel to seek for information by the refugees. Government agencies were major in formal information source while friends were the major informal information source. Consequently, it is recommended that organization in charge of the refugees should provide health and education information services to the camp while government safeguard refugees stay in host country.
