Abstract
The seeming politics and policking take central stage in the contemporary church unnoticed which needs critical examination. The methodology employed was historical research methodology through descriptive approach. Finding reveals that the missiological nature of the contemporary church has been misplaced for the drive for leadership positions and secularism. This chapter concludes that every denomination should deal with the issue of politics and politicking as they impede the growth of the church.
