Abstract
E-learning educational system is electronic mode of knowledge sharing and transmission, which may not necessarily involve physical contact between the teacher and student but through electronic technology. The system is significant for human and national developments. It is based on self-study. The paper examined three basic arguments. They are: to what extent has e-learning influenced human and national developments in contemporary Nigeria? How effective is the usage of computer technology in communicating knowledge in Nigerian Education system? What is the nature of the relationship between teacher and the student in terms of computer appliances? This study intended to find solutions to the gaps that exist within the teacher, computer technology and students in order to enhance learning. It also explored ways, by which to solve the basics contemporary challenges facing students on the internet. Similarly, the work addressed how Nigeria could tackle issues impede the e-learning educational system. This study used developmental analysis through primary and secondary sources as well as archival data. This study concludes that if the challenges in this essay are addressed by those concerned the prospects of e-learning educational system will be enhanced.
