Abstract

This research work investigates learning environment and peer pressure as correlate of academic aspiration among senior secondary school students. The school used for case study are Ogudu Senior Secondary School and Kosofe Senior Colelge in Kosofe Local Government Area of Lagos State. Questionnaire is used for data collection, data were collected randomly from students of senior secondary level SSS1 – III to know their opinion on learning environment. The findings reveal that peer pressure and learning environment have joint contribution to learner academic aspiration achievement. Recommendation made in line with the findings of the work include: That school management and parents/guardians have role to play in providing conducive learning environment for the learners in order to achieve their desired academic aspiration.
