Abstract
This chapter investigated the influence of role conflict on job performance of female employees enrolled in part-time studies in selected universities in Ogun State, Nigeria. A descriptive survey research design was adopted for the study. A total of 232 female workers on part-time studies at Babcock University and Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Ogun State were randomly selected from the universities for data collection. The hypotheses generated for the study were tested at 0.05 alpha levels using Linear Regression Analysis. The result of the analysis showed a significant influence of role conflict on job performance of married and short tenured female employees and no significant influence of role conflict on the job performance of single and long tenured female workers. Based on the findings of the study, it is recommended that organizations provide family friendly policies that will enable female workers accommodate their work as well as family responsibilities.
