Four hypothesis guided the study. Prose Achievement Test (PAT) was used to collect data. ANCOVA was used to analyze the hypotheses. results showed that the experimental groups who were taught with Scaffolding and Cooperative Learning Strategies achieved significantly better than the control group. Also, there was no significant difference across gender. It was, therefore, recommended among others that students should be taught prose literature with scaffolding and cooperative learning strategies for better performance in Literature-in-English.
