Abstract
This essay utilises primary, qualitative and quantitative data from fieldwork in Liberia to foreground refugee women’s experiences of return, reintegration and peace in postconflict Liberia. The evidence repented indicated that refugee women’s perceptions of home had shifted from the pre-war era; their experiences of reintegration had been difficult; and that the sustainability of return and reintegration were seriously in doubt. Most importantly, the article presents the voices of refugee women who desired to have a conversation with their first female head of state, Madam President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf.
