Abstract
As the attention of the world is currently (late 2017) focused on the so-called migrant crisis in Europe, and also with the ongoing political struggles of the Grassfields region of Northwest Cameroon, specifically the English-speaking people, as they determinedly protest the historical domination and perceived marginalisation and injustices of the Cameroonian state, the context and pretext for migration to Europe become important subjects of enquiry. Anyone interested in the links among these political struggles and the daily lives of Cameroonian women, and the impetus for the mothering choices they make when they migrate both internally and intercontinentally, would find Mothers on the Move a necessary read.
