Abstract
War is a rational instrument of national policy while Pan-Africanism implies a philosophy and movement that promotes the globalization and solidarity of Africans. Hence, this study explores through the definography of war, if war motif would be a perpetual means to an end and the examination of the philosophical or theoretical classifications of War, particularly World War 1 and Pan-Africanism and do a comparative historical analysis through a descriptive methodology. Findings reveals that war motif could be implied through other philosophical ideologies as Pan-Africanism which had rarely been analysed. This study shows that World War 1 and Pan-Africanism have a parallel war motif in divergent ways. This study suggest that, among others, there exists similarities in any philosophical studies which other researchers could as well explore.
