Abstract

According to the Scripture, education is to train (instruct) the child in ways that they

can never forget as they grow. However, the concept of the Scripture implies that all

instructions must be disciplinary, that is, by directing the child to do the right thing. I

agree with the explanation given by De Beer and Jaarsma (2000) that education is

Christian when it directs the child as a religious being to the Creator.
