Abstract
PARASITES ARE ACCOMPLISHED EVADERS OF HOSTIMMUNITY. THEIR EVASION STRATEGIES HAVE SHAPED EVERY FACET OF THE IMMUNE SYSTEM, DRIVING DIVERSITY WITHINGENE FAMILIES AND IMMUNEGENE POLYMORPHISM WITHIN POPULATIONS. THE PRESENCES OF ALLELIC FORMS FOR MANY ADAPTATIVE IMMUNE SYSTEM GENES IN PARTICULARAT T REG ASSOCIATED LOCI, SUGGESTS THAT THERE IS NO CERTAIN GENETIC OPTIMUM AND THAT IN AN ENVIRONMENT WITH DIVERSE PATHOGENS DEMANDING CONFLICTING RESPONSE PATTERNS, THE FINE TUNNING EFFECT OF MULTIPLE ALLELIC VARIANTS ALLOWS THE IMMUNE SYSTEM TO BE VARIABLY CALIBRATED ACROSS THE POPULATION . THE FIRST LINE OF DEFENSE AGAINST THE PARASITES AS WITH OTHER PATHOGENS IS THE INNATE IMM SYSTEM WHICH IS THE HARD WIRED
