Abstract

ABSTRACT

The study examined the effect of ICT deployment on institutional performance of business units of Universities in South West Nigeria. Federal, State and Private Universities in the South West geo-political zone of Nigeria comprising ten state, seven Federal and twenty private Universities constituted the primary population of the study. Survey research design was adopted for the study. Senior and management staff of the business units of the selected Universities constituted the secondary population of the study. Total enumeration sampling method was used for the study. Primary data were collected by means of a validated self-structure questionnaire with Cronbach’s alpha reliability coefficient ranging from 0.74 to 0.86. Copies of the instrument were administered to the one hundred and fifty-two staff of the universities selected for the study with 93% response rate. Data were analysed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The results revealed a significant positive relationship (r = 0.78; P <0 xss=removed>
