Christian believers and their families in today’s world are facing challenges that have eternal consequences. This conflict, technically referred to as the great controversy, is worsened by the proliferation of cell phones and other electronic gadgets which oftentimes undermine the power of prayer, family worship, meditation, and other value systems that should have positively impacted their homes. These intrusions come with adverse consequences in the personal and corporate lives of the believers thus altering family value systems. Although literatures have documented the family as the foundational institution and the bedrock of the society. This paper utilizing descriptive analysis examines the state of affairs of the believer’s family in the 21st century with a focus on the interplay between declining morals of the society and the believers’ response to these changes in a way that glorifies God. The paper recommends that believers should follow the good example of Abraham, who taught his children and household the way of the Lord.
