Abstract

This study was carried out to measure the effect of maintenance culture on the organizational performance of the Nigerian Power sector.Despite Government intervention erratic power supply is still rampart due to low employee productivity and inadequate commitment of workers.A descriptive survey research design was adopted in the course of this research. The population of the study consisted of the total workforce of the maintenance department of Egbin Power Plant, Ikorodu, Lagos State, Nigeria. The sample size was the total 132 staff in the department as total enumeration was employed. A valid questionnaire was used as the research instrument. A total of 132 copies of questionnaire were distributed and 124 were collected and used for the analysis. Simple Linear Regression Analysis was used to test the hypotheses through with the Statistical package for Social Sciences.The findings revealed that the quality of staff has a significant effect on the performance of employees (R-square = 0.482; t-value = 10.652; p<0 xss=removed xss=removed>
