The bio-sorption properties of Sphagnum cymbifolium (moss), biomass on methylene blue dye has been studied using the fixed bed process. The biomass were characterized using the scanning electronic microscope (SEM), and the Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscope (FT-IR) before and after adsorption. The assessed parameters were bed height and flow rate. The effect of bed height and flow rate were the variables studied the experimental data obtained were fitted with the Langmuir adsorption Isotherm model.
