This study explored the information use of first-time expectant women on breastfeeding in Nigeria. Research shows that breastfeeding is a natural process that a mother uses in nourishing her new born babies with her breast milk. This process is considered ideal for every woman who is capable of nursing her baby on the breast. Breast milk is readily available for mothers who do not have any physical or emotional problems affecting the production of milk thus facilitating the feeding of her baby on demand. While breastfeeding is natural and easy to perform, new mothers may require information for support on how to do it. This is common with the first-time mother. First-time expectant women would require information to guide them on initiating and maintaining breastfeeding for their newborn babies.
