Abstract

The Sermon on the Mount has been identified as the inaugural message of Jesus Christ at the beginning of His earthly ministry which elucidates the principles on which the kingdom of God operates. The Sermon on the Mount provides moral codes for Christians and those who believe in the Bible as well as outlines in practical terms what it means to be a Christian, a follower of Christ. Consequently, the above views highlight the value and significance of the Sermon on the Mount to followers of Christ (Christians) in all places at all times.
