Abstract

every aspect of human endeavour, the importance of resource management cannot be overemphasised. In economics, we talk about scarce resources in relation to human wants that are unlimited (Adebayo, 1998). The fact that resources are scarce makes it imperative for man to be prudent in its management. It should also be noted that God created both the resources and man who use them; therefore man is accountable to God for how he use those resources entrusted to him. This is a matter of stewardship. The focus of this paper is integrating biblical values in teaching financial management. Various methods of financial management practices, including standards set by God, are discussed and related to how it can be taught in higher educational institution. The functions of financial managers in an organisation as well as individual financial management practices are also discussed.
