Abstract
Daniel Edomwonyi Aisagbonhi was the first lay person in the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Edo and Delta States to take advantage of the coming of the Global System of Mobile Communications (GSM) to Nigeria and begin an exceptional Phone Prayer Ministry. Daniel Aisagbonhi was born in 1934 and died in 2014. Aisagbonhi’s ministry was exemplary as it was used for ministering to people about Christ though the usage of the GSM was characterized by the general public for negative influences. This biography examined the African culture in relation to the technological advancement in the contemporary Nigeria. The paper employed the descriptive methodology as it gathered sources from the primary, secondary and archival material. This paper concluded that if studied, it will serve as a practical tool for missions in a typical African milieu.
