Abstract
James Onorakpene Eregare was born in 1936 and died in 2013. Eregare was the first Seventh-day Adventist member and clergy from Oruerakpo town and from Agbon Kingdom of Delta State. He was a reliable, true representation of his faith and a leader with a mission. He influenced lives of the members and non-members in every community where he worked. This biography addressed the African culture and missiological historiography based on the dearth of materials on Africaness and historio- missiological accounts which this paper sought to meet. It examined the position of morality and culture in African setting. The paper used the descriptive methodology as it gathered sources from the primary, secondary and archival material in this study. This paper concluded that if studied, it will serve as a guide, inspirational tools and a motivating force to the clergy, laity and the general readers.
