Abstract

Relying on descriptive, qualitative method oj data collection and analysis, the paper takes on inadequate and epileptic power supi>ly in Nigeria bv subjecting the ne.\us between power supply and attainment oj MDCi goals to critical disc oin~.se. It is on this note that the paper examined the challenges of power supply in Nigeria and the jiossible cjlects on the achievement of the millennium goals. The paper examined the challenges o! energy generation, its distribution and its effectiveness in Nigeria with a view to discovering whether or not MDG goals are attainable in the Nigeria's present energy condition. The paper concluded on the argument that adequate energy supply is paramount to the attainment oj MDG goals, and thin recommended means oj improving on energ\ supply in Nigeria based on its findings.
