Motivation as a drive is a zest and determination with a kind of excitement that leads one to persevere to reach greater heights. Job satisfaction is an important area in every organization such that its absence often leads to weariness and reduced organizational performance, since job pays a principal position in our lives by occupying much of our time than other activities. However, one of the greatest challenges organizations face today is how to manage turnover of work force which was caused by poor motivation and migration of lots of employees. As a result, this area of research requires much emphasis on how to reduce turnover, absenteeism or malingering in order to improve performance of the organization. Hence, the objective of this paper was to study the effect of motivation and job satisfaction on job performance of employees of Center for Management Development in Lagos State. Simple random sampling was used with the population of 150 respondents and 150 as the sample size. Descriptive field survey was the research design used, and adapted questionnaire was used as the research instrument. Regression analysis was used to analyze the effect of motivation and job satisfaction on job performance. The test result showed that motivation and job satisfaction has significant effects on job performance with regression values of 0.047< 0>
